Your K-Cup Has Been Sitting in a Warehouse for Months

That grocery store pod? It was roasted long before it hit the shelf. Coffee starts losing flavor within weeks of roasting — which is why your morning cup tastes flat, no matter how nice your machine is.

Angelino's does it differently. A third-generation roaster in Los Angeles, they roast, grind, and seal every pod in-house for peak freshness, then ship it to your door within days of roasting. The difference is the first thing you'll notice: real aroma, real flavor, no bitterness.

Mix and match from 50+ specialty coffees, teas, and flavored blends — all Keurig®-compatible — and save more with every box you add, up to 34% off at 12+. Order once whenever you're running low, or subscribe for an extra 5% if that's easier. Entirely up to you.

New customers get 15% off their first order — applied automatically, no code needed.

My hairstylist asked, “How would you like your hair cut?”

I said, “In a way that makes people think I get enough sleep and drink plenty of water.”

The Case of the Missing Halloween Candy

Looking for a different kind of family fun this Halloween weekend? Turn dinner into a mystery—and let everyone become a detective!

The plot is simple: the Halloween candy has disappeared, and a mysterious note has been left behind. Can your family follow the clues and find the missing treats?

Before dinner, hide a small stash of candy and place clues around the house. A message tucked beneath a plate might lead to the refrigerator: “Your next clue is chilling with the leftovers!” That clue could send your detectives to a bookshelf, a coat pocket, or beneath the sofa.

Invite everyone to come in costume and invent a funny detective name. Serve “mummy dogs” made with crescent dough, spaghetti “monster worms,” or personal pizzas decorated with silly faces.

After dinner, work together to crack the case. Let younger children spot picture clues while older children solve riddles—and give everyone a share of the treasure when the mystery is solved.

A little imagination, a few hidden clues, and dinner becomes a Halloween adventure your family might ask to repeat next year!

Wake County’s Big News This Week

Raleigh’s Newest Arrival Is 75 Million Years Old—and Keeping Secrets

Talk about making a heavy entrance! A 5,000-pound block containing a dinosaur skeleton has arrived at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, carrying a prehistoric mystery: could it hold a species scientists have never identified?

In an October 21 video report by The News & Observer’s Robert Willett, Dr. Lindsay Zanno and museum staff move the massive block containing the 75-million-year-old theropod skeleton into the museum.

Its identity remains a question, and a new species has not been confirmed. But this ancient arrival certainly gives Raleigh something to be curious about.
