If you receive a text claiming you owe money for an overdue parking ticket, toll violation, or court fine — don’t click it! Scammers are sending fake “Wake County Court” notices designed to scare residents into handing over personal information and payments through suspicious links and QR codes. Officials say legitimate courts will never demand payment by text message.
