Making the holidays brighter!
Making the Holidays Brighter for Others
The holidays are a perfect time to spread warmth, joy, and a sense of togetherness. One of the simplest ways to brighten someone’s season is by sharing time and creating memories with neighbors, friends, and family.
Small gestures can make a big impact. Imagine inviting neighbors over for a cozy bonfire, sipping hot cocoa as laughter and stories fill the night air. Or gather a group for caroling through your street, bringing music, cheer, and smiles to every doorstep. Even simple acts of kindness—helping with decorations, sharing baked treats, or checking in on someone who may be alone—can light up hearts in a way no gift can.
The holidays are not just about giving; they are about connecting. By bringing people together and sharing moments of joy, we make the season brighter—not just for others, but for ourselves as well.

Steady Appreciation and Continued Appeal
In 2025, the Wake County, North Carolina housing market continued to show steady home value appreciation, reflecting the area’s strong demand, quality of life, and long‑term desirability. Overall, median home prices in the county have remained higher than in previous years, with many neighborhoods seeing modest year‑over‑year gains while inventory gradually expands.
While overall price growth has been more moderate compared to past boom years, single‑family homes and popular suburbs like Cary, Holly Springs, and Wake Forest have held their value and even experienced notable appreciation, making Wake County an attractive market for both homeowners and investors.
At the same time, the market has shown signs of balancing out: buyers enjoy a growing selection of homes and slightly longer selling periods than the frenzied pace of previous years, but demand remains strong due to Wake County’s vibrant communities, excellent schools, job opportunities, and lifestyle amenities.
For many residents, rising home values translate into increased equity and long‑term investment potential, reinforcing Wake County’s reputation as one of the Triangle’s most desirable places to live in 2025. Source Redfin

The Question That Changed a Life
For three years, Ginger Sprouse drove past the same corner in her Texas town. Rain or shine, a homeless man stood there, sometimes sitting on a plastic crate, sometimes pacing to stay warm. Ginger always wondered about him, but like many of us, she hesitated to intrude.
One chilly afternoon, she rolled down her window and simply asked, “How are you today?”
That question cracked open a friendship.
She learned his name — Victor — and discovered he had no family to speak of, no documents, and no way to access the help he desperately needed. Ginger started visiting him regularly, bringing sandwiches, warm socks, and something far more valuable: attention. Human connection.
Eventually, she helped him get an ID, connected him with housing services, and sat with him through appointments that overwhelmed him. Victor slowly rediscovered the dignity he thought he’d lost. All because one woman decided to ask a question most people never stop to ask.
"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."
— Galatians 6:9 (ESV)
